400 Aprilaire Humidifier

The 400 Aprilaire humidifier is a water conserving, high-capacity humidifier that operates with an efficiency of 0.70 gallons evaporated per hour. The 400 Aprilaire humidifier uses a simple water recirculation system. It is able to use 100% of the water, which goes into the humidifier unit.

You can automatically adjust the levels of humidity depending on the outside air temperature. This is done using a remote sensing bulb. Types of 400 Aprilaire humidifier

There are two types of 400 humidifier and they are bypass humidifier and the power fan humidifier. The difference lies in the methods used by each one of them to move air through them. The 400 Aprilaire power fan humidifier uses a 110 volt fan to circulate air through them.

None of the bypass humidifiers have a fan, but they use a 6" duct. The duct is connected to its side and is situated exactly opposite of the air duct system. In a bypass model, if a humidifier is installed right on the supply plenum, then the 6" duct will get connected to the humidifier as well as the return plenum. But if you install the humidifier to the return plenum, then the 6" duct will get attached to the humidifier as well as the supply plenum.
